Dr. Alma Rodriguez Estrada is an Associate professor of biology at Aurora University (Illinois State, USA). Alma earned her masters and doctoral degrees from the Pennsylvania State University where she worked with cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii and phylogeny of the genus Pleurotus.  Dr. Rodriguez has been treasurer of the WSMBMP since 2008. Dr. Rodriguez now focuses on STEM education, curriculum development, and STEM outreach. Her current research work is associated to biology teaching and learning.
